What is 50 Shaves of May?

Our favorite annual event is back for the fourth year, and we invite you to participate! Alongside your favorite barbers from Razors, we will be joined by barber friends from around the country to help us shave faces for a cause. Razors Barbershop and Proraso USA will be hosting a day-long shave-a-thon, where we’ll perform 50 shaves (face, head, or beard clean-up) and all proceeds will be donated to The Claddagh Fund. Along with the highest quality shave, participants will receive a generous gift from our partners at Proraso USA and a chance to win Dropkick Murphys tickets. The event will take place Thursday May 14th at Razors Barbershop's Somerville location.

What is The claddagh fund?

The Claddagh Fund was founded in Boston in 2009 by Ken Casey of the Dropkick Murphys. The band and their families have supported local charities throughout the history of the band. The Claddagh Fund was created to raise funds for underfunded non-profits that support the most vulnerable individuals in our communities, with a focus on programs that support children, veterans’ organizations and alcohol & drug rehabilitation. What will my generosity get me?

Your $75 donation will not just get you a smooth shave or sharp beard, but also:

A generous gift of products from Proraso
One entry into a raffle to win two VIP tickets to a Dropkick Murphy’s 2027 St. Patrick’s Day show in Boston

Please note that we only have 50 face shave slots available, so please sign up soon, especially if there’s a time of day and/or barber you are most interested in selecting.

How do I support without wanting a shave?

We welcome your generosity and you can select the proper option in the sign-up form to donate, even if you do not want or need a shave. Whether you are donating or not, you are welcome to stop by and simply share your physical support.
