What is 50 Shaves of May?

Our favorite annual event is back and bigger than ever, here’s why. Alongside your favorite barber from Razors, we will be joined by our barber friends from around the globe helping us shave faces for this great cause. Help us reach our goal of shaving 50 faces in one day to raise money for a great cause. Razors Barbershop and Proraso USA will be hosting a day long shave-a-thon, with proceeds all being donated to The Claddagh Fund. 50 face shaves will be performed throughout the day from our skilled barbers and spots will be reserved for the highest bidders. Along with the highest quality shave, participants will receive a generous gift from our partners at Proraso USA. The event will take place Saturday May 4th, 2023 at Razors Barbershop's Somerville location. To make your pledge for a chance at one of the 50 spots, sign up below.

What is The claddagh fund?

The Claddagh Fund was founded in Boston in 2009 by Ken Casey of the Dropkick Murphys. Ken, his bandmates and their families have supported charities throughout the history of the band. Understanding the power of their position to harness the passion and generosity of their fans, the Claddagh Fund was created to raise funds for and broaden our impact on worthy, underfunded non-profits that support the most vulnerable individuals in our communities. What will my generosity get me?

Your donation will not just get you a smooth shave, but all of these generous gifts from our Proraso USA family:

Proraso Duo Kit (includes a full size shave cream and aftershave)
One entry to win a full range of shave or beard products from Proraso
One entry to a raffle featuring gifts from our friends at local businesses in the area

Please note that we only have 50 face shave slots available and they will be given to those with the highest donation amounts. If you do not win one of the 50 shave appointments, but choose to uphold your donation, you will still be entered into the raffle for Proraso products and a year of free

How do I sign up?

Fill out the form below. We will notify you via email if you win a shave spot, along with your reserved appointment time. Your donation will be collected upon your arrival in the form of a credit/debit card, please arrive with this in mind. $30 minimum donation to be entered for a chance at a shave spot.

How do I support without wanting a shave?

We welcome your generosity and you can select the proper option in the form below to donate, even if you do not want or need a shave. Whether you are donating or not, you are welcome to stop by and enjoy the festivities, grab a handcrafted cocktail, enjoy some live music and simply share your physical support. Your donation will automatically enter you into the raffle for a chance to win free haircuts or a Proraso products.
